Finn Apps

Hi, I’m Finn. I grew up in Hackney; I’m a surfer, a rock climber and a people person. I love new experiences and above all, I want to see the world and share my view of it.

In my work, I’m a storyteller, a documentary photographer, and a filmmaker. I’m always with a camera and my work spans from under the sea to forests to industry and mines. I have a passion for telling essential stories around adventure, culture, and natural resources, revealing through my eyes the unseen hidden gems that the rest of the world may pass by.

I follow the road less travelled, literally and metaphorically. I love a challenge, establishing connections, and taking a genuine interest in how others spend their lives.

I'm currently working on photographing a hypothetical exploration of the possible wasteland that Cornwall could be after a new age of modern mining in the southwest of the UK. In addition, I’m creating a feature-length film based around the Tarkine rainforest in Tasmania. It explores the forest effect on people, the friction between a government-funded dying logging industry and the new premise of a more profitable eco-centric tourism business which protects and provides for nature and man.
