Molly Stacy-Deegan - Protectors of                                                      Pendennis

Molly is a 24 year old nature photographer who has been capturing the wild beauty of our bigger birds for the last 11 years. She got her start photographing the bald eagle migrations in her hometown of Squamish, BC, but since emigrated to the UK to pursue a degree in Marine and Natural History Photography. At university, Molly has truly honed her skills in, producing a variety of portfolios surrounding the beauty of native British birds.

Built in 1539 for King Henry VIII, Pendennis Castle is a prominent feature of the Falmouth coastline. Protectors of Pendennis is a beautifully hand-crafted photographic exploration of Pendennis Castle and its brilliant black guards.  Much like the stories of the Ravens on London Bridge, the Shags and the Cormorants of Pendennis are a vision of strength and resilience, they are the true protectors of our coastline. Molly’s book offers a closer look at these graceful guards and what makes them so important to the Cornish story.
