Stella Emerald Hart is an artist based between Cornwall and London. The presentation of her work is fluid and inspiration regularly comes from memories, history and community, focusing on how the natural world is steeped in them all.  

Stella holds deep connections to her subjects; she doesn’t only photograph them but for a while becomes part of that world. This fuels an investigation into responses and emotions towards certain experiences, which is the central point of reference to how she then responses to the story visually. 

She Belongs to the Night Now aims to provoke a feeling. One that is personal to you. The journey through the garden is one of both beauty and grief, medicine and poison, awe and fear. As you get drawn through the garden, something will hopefully be drawn out of you.
